  • Your Intent

    a. What are you attempting to achieve with the development of a web site?

     
    b. For your site, which is more important: functionality/application or look & feel?

     
    c. What do you perceive as the single most important feature of the site?

     
    d. Who is the intended audience?

     
    e. What is the age range of the targeted visitor?

     
    f. What do you want them to take away from the site?

     
    g. What do you want the web site to say about your company/organization?

     
    h. Who is your competition? Do they have a website?

     
    i. List 6 web sites that appeal to you. Why - which elements from those sites would you like to see in your site?

     
    j. If this website is to be an online store, how many products do you intend on having, and what kind of products?

     
      

  • The Basics

    a. Do you have a registered domain name? If so, how many name combinations have you registered and is the registration up for renewal at any point in the next 4 months?

     
    b. Does someone currently host your website?

     
    c. If you have an existing site, are there any elements that you would like to carry over into the new site? Who designed/developed the existing site? (We will need to contact them to switch over files, etc.)

     
    d. List the major sections that you would like to have in your site.

     
    e. Will you provide all of the copy for the website.

     
      

  • Administration

    a. Who will be designated as project manager? Are they authorized to make final decisions on all aspects of the site?

     
    b. Do you have a technical administrator and/or tech staff who will work directly with our programmers and developers?

     
    c. Will all content, in it's final form, be provided for the site? If so, are you the owner of the copyright for these items? If you are not, do you have permission from the copyright holder, in writing, for these elements to be used on the site?

     
      

  • Design/Graphic Elements

    a. Does your company have established branding/identity standards in place? What specific elements of the branding need to be incorporated into the web site? Do you have a logo, established corporate colors or a standards manual?

     
    b. What message needs to be reinforced through the graphic elements contained on the site?

     
    c. Do you envision the use of photography or illustration on the site? Do you have a preference?

     
    d. Would like to utilize any multimedia features on the site? (Animations, product demos, video, audio) What value do you feel these add, both to the site as a whole and to your company's identity in general?

     
      

  • Technical Considerations

    a. Will content on the site change on a regular basis? How often: Daily? Weekly? Monthly?

     
    b. If content changes, how do you prefer to maintain the site? Will you want us to upload content to the website for you, or will you designate internal administrator(s) and use our content management software to update your website?

     
    c. Will there be any forms or features on the site that require users to enter and submit information? If so, please list them.

     
    d. Do you require any specific features (Calendar of events, course listings, job listing, etc.) If so, please list them.

     
    e. Will online commerce be a feature of the site? Is it a consideration for future phases of development?

     
    f. Will you be needing to accept mobile credit card payments? (Swiped payments with a mobile credit card reader and mobile app)

     
    g. Will you be needing to manage user/member accounts, and possibly have user/member secured areas on the website?

     
    h. Is there any "downloadable" content that needs to be on the site? PDF's? Video? Will these need to be converted by Digital Trooper into web-ready files?
